Your outfits are stellar, and I love all the vintage pieces! I'm swooning over your agnes b suit. I loved Marc by Marc Jacobs - I see pieces of it here and there, and they're always good quality.
It does sound like you're in the midst of a transformation, Sophia. Having been through a few of those myself, if I may offer a word - just go forward. Change is the only constant.
"But as frustrated as I am, I am also fearful of making the wrong step. I think the fear stems from the uncertain foundations of change. I don't want to take a misstep, I don't want to fuck up. I'm having trouble accepting that this is how I work and without these lulls nothing would ever change."
I loved this, above, that you wrote - fear holds so many of us back! In the same way that you embraced the rain, embrace the fear. Everyone fucks up - it's okay to fuck up. And when it feels like so much change is on the doorstep - first, do nothing. :)
Don’t know if I’ve ever related so hard to someone’s description of how they feel when they’re in that period of transition/change!! From the shame and frustration of not being able to do the thing, to the fear of doing *anything* and getting it wrong!!
Thanks for the solidarity and the insight, and the reminder that it’s ok to wait out the rain, or run headlong into it.
